Breakout Project 2018 at the Roxy

With the holidays well in the rearview mirror, there is a typical slowdown in the number of live country shows as we hibernate briefly for our ‘post-holiday recovery’.  This gives the Bus some time to seek out the freshest faces trying to make their way.  One local Vancouver competition is showcasing a dozen of these up-and-comers in The Breakout Project 2018 and the Bus will be covering this weekly event until the new champ is crowned!

Opening Night Brings the First Four

Danielle Ryan

Danielle was first up and performed a solo, acoustic set of mostly original songs that showed a lot of potential, both as a writer and a singer.

Quinn King

Quinn closed out the evening with his ragtag outlaw band out of Squamish.  Tons of energy make up for his inexperience.  Look out for this guy in the future.

More to Come…

We will have more photos to come throughout the competition as these artists continue to amaze us with their special talents.  Thanks to the Roxy, Bailey Way Entertainment, Nimbus School of Recording & Media, and the BC Country Music Association for hosting, supporting local musicians, and having Tour Bus along for the ride.   Check out these artists on their socials…
