Headstones rock Bluesfest…
One of the last bands announced to take the main stage at this years RBC Bluesfest was the Headstones. This past Friday night the boys hailing from Kingston, Ontario drove down the 401 to the 416 and right into the Nations Capital to melt faces in Ottawa at this years festival. Now the boys are no strangers to such an honour but to do it while they sit at #1 on Canadian Rock Radio is pretty damn special. Hugh and the boys rarely take their foot off the gas during a performance and this seemed to have a bit more pep. Once they hit the stage it was hammer down, classic in your face headstones for a solid 60+ minutes.
On this night we were allowed a little extra access to cover what was arguably the best performance on any stage thus far, Hugh certainly brought the most energy of one at this years Bluesfest. From Hugh venturing out into the crowd as the fans frantically reached to get a piece of one of Canada’s most iconic frontmen.
Tim, Trent and the rest of the fellas came to rock and that they did. Rather than babbling about each song let’s make it more visual. Check out these shots of the Headstones @ RBC Ottawa’s Bluesfest.
