Here at Tour Bus Entertainment, we are so excited because we finally get our hands on JJ Shiplett’s new album Something To Believe In. And it is KILLER!
JJ Shiplett is no stranger to us. We’ve been following him for some time, and every time we see him perform or get a chance to speak to him, he has found another way to get better and impress us more. Something To Believe In is an 11 song work of brilliance. This album really kicks ass. I’m not sure if it’s the heavily guitar laden sound of his music, or the brilliant lyrics, or the way his music packs such a punch! Most certainly much of the attraction to his music is the sound of his voice. It’s unique, powerful and impressive. We just know one thing: if you don’t add this to your music library now, well then you’re missing out on a Canadian treasure.
The album starts off with the title track and just keeps rolling with his rocking country style on songs like Darling Lets Go Out Tonight and Higher Ground. But then Shiplett shows off his ballad abilities with House On A River and a couple of strong but slower songs in Waters and Oh No Girl. The album gives great balance and the production quality on this is really good. The folks at Warner Music Canada will certainly be pleased with this one and so will you. Our photography team has had the chance to capture JJ in action a few times, and so we thought that with his album release, we’d do a Pic From The Pit feature as well. We hope you enjoy our collection of JJ Shiplett images and be sure to go and get his new album. Have a peek down below the photos for a short video of JJ performing Higher Ground live!
