So with so many of the BIG Festivals announcing their line up we thought we should put together our Wishlist for this years Lucknow’s Music In The Fields which usually anchors the last days of summer.
With so many of the larger names in country already in play at other festivals we really had to put our thinking caps on for this one. But here is who we would LOVE to see play one of Canada’s best Country Music Festivals.
One of those artists that is ready to make the step from supporting to heading the big stage on a Friday night is Tim Hicks. We know Tim can pack them in and knowing that he won’t be at Boots or Trackside there is a good chance that Lucknow is gonna bring in the new Stompin’ Grounds with style.
Another artist that we think would fit this festival is Jessica Mitchell. The folks at Lucknow know good music and Jessica is stellar.
And how about the James Barker Band. They too would be a great fit for this one and opened for Tim Hicks earlier this year on a few dates out east.
Usually Saturday brings in a few bigger name US artists and this year we have a few that we would love to see up to wrap up the summer of 2017.
The first one that comes to mind that hasn’t been announced for any of the other festivals at this point is Darius Rucker.
Another name we would love to see up here to headline the Saturday night is someone that knows how to draw a crowd. Hunter Hayes delivers a fantastic show and would be a great night of music to the fields of Lucknow.
The last one on the wishlist for headliners would be to see Jake Owen back on Canadian soil this summer. As of right now he doesn’t have a date in Ontario and feel his performance last year at a couple of the festivals was incredible and would be a perfect fit for the summer nights of MITF.
The folks at Lucknow really know how to throw a party so we thought some of these artists would be a great fit to perform along side of these openers.
Thousand Horses
Cadillac Three
River Town Saints
Erik Dylan
Leaving Thomas
Dani Strong
We don’t know any of the lineup yet but if any of these artists make it to the new venue for Music in the Fields we think the fans will be pretty excited.
