Here’s a photo series of Big Machine Label Group artist Brantley Gilbert from my collection of images. What can I say, but BG is one pretty big persona up on that stage and certainly has a great following with his BG Nation. I gathered these images from two separate shows; one at The Opera House in Toronto (where BG played to sold out nights) and the other show was at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa. The latter was also a jam packed house.
He is a big man, and he plays big and delivers big with his very original style of country and rock blend. His band is pretty damn awesome too. They’ve got long ZZ Top-ish beards, dreadlocks, tattoos, and mohawks. Kind of an eclectic looking bunch, but man do they know how to bring it. It’s a pretty straight-forward show – not a lot of gimmicks, and it doesn’t need them. It’s all about this music. I think my favourites are My Baby’s Guns and Roses and One Hell of an Amen. But those two songs are just a head above the rest, and I pretty much love all of Brantley’s music. I look forward to more opportunities to make some more images of Mr. Gilbert. Because just as his tour t-shirt states, it’s “Stone Cold Country By The Grace Of God” . Yup, damn straight it is.
I hope you enjoy this photo set in our Pics From The Pit series. Don’t forget to have a look through all the other photo sets in this section of our site. Thanks for checking in. Cheers, Scott.
