It was classic rock night back in June at the Budweiser Stage when Peter Frampton played all the hits! Such a great show.
I know that I have mentioned this before, but for me, this was pretty special. Peter Frampton was the first artist I had ever seen live as a 12 year old music lover. And man, what a way to take in your very first show. I mean Peter Freakin Frampton! This was back in 1977 at Maple Leaf Gardens when Frampton Comes Alive had exploded. I remember his opening acts that night were a band called Jellyroll, followed by The J. Geils Band. They didn’t hold a candle to what Frampton did when he came on. I was so deeply affected by his music that I just had to learn how to play the guitar – and so I that’s what I did. And it’s all owing to this artist.
Fast forward to June 2017 and here I was photographing, well, my musical idol. I had such a blast watching him and his amazing band run through an epic set list of music that I have loved for 40 years! And the crowd loved them too. All the hits came out: Show Me The Way, Baby I Love Your Way, and of course they closed out the show with Do You Feel Like We Do. The talk box smash hit that lasts about 18 minutes. It was amazing. And the band sounded phenomenal. So today, I share some of my favourite shots of one of my favourite artists in this Pics From The Pit. I hope you enjoy as much as I did. Cheers, Scott
