The Tour Bus had a chance to attend the second leg of Red Truck Brewery’s Concert series and although we couldn’t stay for the entire evening, we had a great time and caught some amazing acts in action. First up on the East stage was Drew Gregory, a guy from small-town Alberta (Standard, to be precise) that had a dream and followed it to Nashville and beyond. Very talented, great voice and had a true Canadian country vibe.

The first artist up on the Main stage was SYKAMORE, another Albertan artist. She is another up-and-comer with a great voice and strong songwriting skills. Performing straight into the hot afternoon sun must have been a bit uncomfortable but she did an admirable job.
Kristin Bunyan was the next up on the East stage and this firecracker from White Rock, BC had a high-energy, fast-paced set that finally got the crowd dancing and the beers raised. Kristin owned that stage and demanded attention with a powerful vocal performance right from note one.
The last artist we caught is no stranger to The Bus, our friend Chris Buck Band. Straight off the stage at the Calgary Stampede the night before, Chris and the band performed a killer set with a few covers and some great original stuff including his current hit ‘That’s When You Know’. The band has some incredibly strong musical talent with the likes of Philip Puxley on banjo and guitar.
